The Body Of Arsenal?

Top O' The League again, and by a clear two points. It's almost like watching a team that hasn't won anything for almost a decade play delicious, entertaining and rewarding football. Imagine that. Arsenal got the three points today with a convincing 4-1 win over Norwich City.

It has to be said that the Canaries played well today, and we still managed to hammer them before the 90 was up. Somewhat of a contrast from years past when we would have let them get that goal back, then another, then either battle nervously until the final whistle, or concede another at 89 minutes to lose the game.

I think it's been so long since we've been this good, and so long since we won anything that we forgot what it was like not to fuck up. Even after 8 games of Premiership football, I still half expect us to crumble and lose to a shite team, like Norwich (no disrespect, Norwich, but one of your best players is Pilkington...). The difference this time around is the consistency of not only our team work, but our stand out individual performances.

You rarely see a team winning the league with 11 great players all sharing the spot light, there's always going to be a couple of outstanding players who can change a game almost single handedly. Ozil and Ramsey have been those players for us so far this season. They're like a luscious pair of boobs, sharing the same space, impressing everyone yet complimenting each other perfectly. Righty and lefty? And it's perfectly normal that one is just slightly larger than the other, in fact it would be strange if they were identical. One's got a wonky look about him, and the other is, well.... Welsh.

So if that analogy stands for those two, I feel it's only appropriate to compare Mertesacker and Koscielny to a set of bollocks, Giroud is quite clearly a cock, and our boy Szczesny is the complete arsehole. If you step back and look, we've got a multi cultural tranny on our hands, and I like it.

I would suggest checking out the highlights, because we may have goal of the month contenders with a couple of those strikes today. It can be endlessly debated whether Wilshere's back flick to Giroud before his goal was intentional, but we'll just call it magical for now. Rambo's solo effort for his goal was something you'd see from Messi or Ronaldo, except they'd get a lot more attention and have journalists and pundits creaming themelves over it. Ramsey's goal might have Gary Lineker shitting his pants with excitement, and that's all we can ask for really.

We've got a tough game Tuesday against Dortmund, so we'll see if we can keep our good Champions League form going, as well as our current unbeaten run. I don't think one game can ruin this team, or even effect them significantly, but on the other hand I wouldn't be surprised if we pulled off a shocker and got 3 points of the Germans the way we're playing lately.

Top O' The League! Come on you Gunners!
